Comparison of the Czech education system with the alternative program Step by Step

This final thesis is concerned with the comparison of Czech traditional school and schools using the alternative program Step by Step. The goal is to present the different approaches towards the structure of the classes, the classroom equipment, the cooperation between the pupils, teacher and parents. Another goal is to compare differences between those two types of school, according to the information collected in the questionnaire. This thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part´s presenting the program Step by Step and its usage in the Czech Republic. The basic specific points like self-image and activity centers. The traditional school will be also presented. The practical part will be focused on the traditional schools and those using the alternative program Step by Step. They will be compared in the questionnaires. The answers will be filled by teachers based on their experience and points of view

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of cooperation between a school and a family during a pandemic. The theoretical part characterizes the "Začít spolu" program, which is based on the cooperation with the family. It presents the Standards of the program, in which it focuses on the area of Family and community. It deals with distance learning and compares the possible forms of communication and cooperation in the full-time form of teaching and also during distance teaching. The practical part of the thesis deals with qualitative and quantitative research, carried out through in-depth interviews and survey, which aims to find out how and in what way the pandemic affected the cooperation of a school and a family and what do the teachers and parents take from it in their future cooperation. This diploma thesis deals with the complete issue of the cooperation and communication among the tripartite: teacher- parent- pupil in primary school. The theoretical part characterizes the institution of the family and the school, describes their relations and an influence of a child when speaking of the society development and its point of view of a child education. It deals with the support of child's keys development (the ability to communicate, to learn, to solve problem situations and to self-evaluate). It offers the point of view of two-way anticipation parent- teacher and their mutual roles. The current new forms of pedagogical communication constitute an integral part of the Diploma thesis - the author deals in detail with important differences in both types of consultations: personal and on-line forms, evaluates their effectivity and difficulties for all involved side. The author presents the educational programme "To start together" at the end of the thesis. This is orientated towards a child and a parental-teacher relation. COOPERATION OF FAMILY AND SMALL SCHOOL WITH COMPOSITE CLASSES The thesis deals with the cooperation of family and small school with composite classes. The theoretical section deals with the typology and changes in family, family and school partnership, ideal setting of cooperation between family and school. It examines programmes of schools with area of cooperation being developed (Step by step and Parents are welcome). It looks for starting points that might be used at home school. The research section deals with a description of a small school with composite classes, where the graduant teaches. It also examines specificities of this school, the typology of students' families and at the same time it's also mapping the cooperation between school and family according to the programme Parents are welcome. It's trying to find the strategies for improving the cooperation with family. This is followed by the assessment from the viewpoints of author, parents, colleagues and a conclusions.

Personality and social education and its influence on the classroom climate

This work is focused on the topic of school class climate and its enhancement by the methods of personality and social education in a concrete class where the author is working as a teacher. The theoretical part is dedicated to the class climate and its characteristics. It describes what influences, by which methods it can be investigated and what can it be influenced by. In the practical part the author uses the methods of the teacher's active research to investigate the climate in her own class and also self-reflexively examines herself from the view of the beginning teacher. During the time period of one school year continually monitors the climate in her class and states the most effective ways towards improvement. The results of the research show that the methods of personality and social education have an influence to the class climate if they are used in a natural and casual manner. Kargerová, J., Ph.D. The diploma thesis is focused on the cooperation of family and school at the beginning of schooling. The theoretical part describes the school and the family as the institutions that have an irreplaceable position in a life of child. It offers a view into the history and its forms of cooperation and aims which were reached in compare with today's understanding of the child and childhood. It deals with 1989 and its events which influenced the politic, economic and pedagogic situation - the child is in the middle of the family a school attention. The education is innovated, reformatted and new laws together with some new school programmes are issued. The theoretical background is finished by a description of Začít spolu program, its brief characteristic and concrete forms of cooperation with families. The empiric part surveys the situation in an ordinary school and the school worked according to the Začít spolu program. It compares their elementary and secondary levels and it offers some recommendations for better family-school cooperation.
Forms of Family and School Cooperation at the Beginning of School Attandance

This thesis focuses on forms of cooperation between family and school at the beginning of school attendance. The theoretical part defines family and school as educational institutions and traces the development of cooperation between these institutions. It shows current trends in cooperation between family and school using the elements of a strategy of innovative educational program Step by Step and project Parents welcome. It refers to the elements that affect mutual relations. At the beginning of the empirical part is first described the methodology of qualitative research. The main techniques used were observation, questioning and interviews with teaching staff and the parents of pupils at two schools - at the average primary school and at the school using the program Start together, which received a certificate Parents welcome. Partner reality was analyzed on the basis of a document Competent teacher of the 21st century: An international professional quality framework ISSA. The research identified the actual situation in each school, its benefits and weaknesses. Communication of School and Family in Primary Education

The thesis deals with communication between family and school in primary education. It's aim is to formulate proposals for more efficient communication with parents. The thesis has theoretical and practical - experimental part. In the practical part key concepts are being characterized. Also the thesis interprets the grounding of the term "parents" in the curricular documents and legislative. The main focus has been placed on initiatives and programmes which ephasise school-family cooperation, mostly the project Parents welcome and educational program Step by Step. The forms of such cooperation between subjects and their mutuall expectations have been described as well. The experimental part examines parent's satisfaction and used communication strategies at school where the experimental investigation took place. The research uses both qualitative and quantitative methods - mostly survey and deep interviews. The results of this research were analyzed. According to the analysis, suggestions for an effective communication with parents have been provided. An effective communication has been described as the one, that is clear and systematic, by in advance given communication channel. The diploma thesis deals with the cooperation of school and family during distance and online teaching. It discusses how parents approach cooperation and how it is perceived by teachers. The theoretical part describes the reasons for cooperation and the factors that negatively affect it. It presents rules for cooperation. It presents its typical forms and presents arguments for their implementation. It presents programs that support the cooperation of school and family. It characterizes distance learning and its types. It provides recommendations for teachers and possible forms of online cooperation. The practical part of the work deals with research mapping the approach of primary school teachers to forms of cooperation during distance and online teaching at a selected primary school. The research is carried out using two questionnaire surveys and structured interviews.
